Mask is about you and me ...

In the summer of 2006 this guy picks up a guitar and asks "How easy are these to play?"

He was shown a G, and then an A and then D; strummed for a while and said "You know I think I could write a song ..."

Years pass and after a lot of stress, happiness, arguments, fights and general stroppiness mixed with the odd moments of sheer joy and pleasure.

We have Mask.

Hundreds of lyrics put to music by some of the most talented, inventive and sometimes downright stubborn and annoying people in the World. The most sublime musicians we have mixed with a guy who never played or sang a note before that summer.

The brilliance of concert pianists, orchestras and some of the greatest rock musicians of our times working with a guy who gets bored after the second sing-through and brings a level of anger, annoyance and the odd great lyric. A guy who shuns publicity like a hermit but has attracted some of the all-time greats to play "his little songs"

A guy who has written thousands of songs in two years that have made people cry, laugh and get angry.

Written by someone with a burning belief in freedom of speech and silly love songs. A guy who mixes some of the angriest songs of our time with a belief that those who oppose his views have every right to voice their beliefs and is willing to provide the vehicle for them to do that.

Mask is not for the record companies; it is not about stardom, it is not about cultivating an image to reach celebrity.

It is about you and me ...

Music should be the soundtrack of your life; and if you listen to the current reality dross then your life is getting way to predictable!
